Therapy is a hopeful process for working towards your  potential throughout life’s journey. Bruce Kobal offers psychotherapy for adults, older adolescents, and families. Areas of specialty are in the treatment of depression and anxiety.  Other areas of interest are adjustment to emotional and physical difficulties, family and life transition issues, and coping with loss. Therapy  is tailored to  each client’s or family’s needs, utilizing a treatment style that is a combination of Insight Oriented Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Dr. Kobal is sensitive to the fact that people function within a context of physical, emotional, spiritual, and social realms which can all be considered in the counseling process.

Jennifer Pfeffer provides psychotherapy to adolescents and adults.  Jen received her graduate degree in Social Work (M.S.S.A.) from Case Western Reserve University in 1999 and became licensed to practice clinical social work in the state of Pennsylvania in 2001. Since that time, Jen has been in practice in the Erie community. Jen has worked with individuals throughout the lifespan dealing with life’s challenges and transitions. She is experienced in treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. She has a special interest in treating anxiety, trauma, and grief.  She uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach which is especially helpful for the times in life when we feel “stuck” and want to start moving forward again. Jen sees therapy as an empowering process that begins by asking for help.   With patience and persistence, her clients cultivate greater confidence and self-esteem, richer relationships with others, and more emotional balance and health.   Seeing the power individuals possess to transform their lives for the better is something she feels honored to be part of!
